What is a story walk?
A story walk is an outdoor reading experience where pages of a children’s book are displayed along a designated path. Families or groups can walk through the trail, reading the story page by page while enjoying nature. It combines literacy, physical activity, and family engagement, promoting both reading and outdoor exploration.
Where is the story walk?
The story walk is located at Tassel Top Park! Just off of 302 across from the shopping plaza. Before you get to the gates, pull into the small parking lot on the left. You should see the first page in front of you.
Who supports the story walk?
The story walk was funded by the Friends of the Raymond Village Library. It was installed by members of the Tassel Top Park team and is a partnership between the Raymond Village Library and the Raymond Parks and Recreation Department.
What book is in the story walk?
Updated September 26, 2024: Over and Under the Snow, by Kate Messner and illustrated by Christopher Silas Neal.
