Live Music with Gary Wittner & McCoy Mrubata

On Thursday, May 2nd from 6-7 PM join us for an evening of live music.

South African reedman McCoy Mrubata grew up in the Capetown township of Langa listening to church hymns, traditional African rhythms and brass band music. He was a member of the legendary Hugh Masakela’s band in the 1990’s and has since established himself as a bandleader, touring regularly throughout the African continent and Europe. He has released over a dozen albums of original music.

Guitarist Gary Wittner, originally from New York, now lives in Maine where he is a faculty member of the Univ. of Maine School of Music and Bowdoin College. Gary has performed and taught music worldwide on 5 continents since the 1980’s. He has officially represented the USA multiple times as a Fulbright Specialist and US Embassy Outreach Artist. Gary has released 7 CDs as a leader; he performs original jazz – both instrumental and vocal – as well as Latin, Middle Eastern and Balkan music

Watercolor with Kayley

On Tuesday, May 7th from 2-4PM come learn the basics of watercolor! This class is open to all levels but is designed to introduce you to painting with watercolor. Please register as spaces are limited 207-655-4283


An Evening with Paul Doiron

On Wednesday, May 15th from 5-6PM join local author Paul Doiron, know for the Mike Bowditch series, will be visiting the Raymond Village Library to read and discuss his upcoming book, Pitch Dark! One lucky attendee will leave with an advanced reader copy of his newest book. Please register 207-655-4283

Technology Assistance

Partnering with the Bridgton Public Library you can now sign up for one-on-one basic technology assistance! Additionally, if you’re interested you can receive help in signing up for the Affordable Connectivity Program or tech lasses through the National Digital Equity Center. Saturdays (beginning Feb. 3) from 10-noon. Registration is required 655-4283


Bridge Club

Tuesdays from 9am to noon the RVL Bridge club meets for some games of bridge! Want to learn how to play? One of our members would be happy to teach you. Open to all!


Evening Book Group

The Raymond Book Club meets the last Tuesday of the month to discuss a chosen book. Contact us at 655-4283 for more information!
