DONATE AND SUPPORT THE RAYMOND VILLAGE LIBRARY
Libraries in the 21st century function as all-ages learning and activity centers in their communities and are playing an increasingly important role drawing people together. It is a wonderful responsibility but also an endeavor which needs the support of the community.
In addition to the generous funding provided by the Town of Raymond, the Raymond Village Library must generate a significant portion of its operating budget annually. We hold many fundraisers throughout the year. Please see our Fundraising Events page for more details or please scroll down for other opportunities to support the RVL.
The Raymond Village Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. All support is graciously received with the utmost appreciation.
How You Can Help
Our Annual Appeal, the largest and most important fundraiser, takes place each fall. The library requests one-time monetary gifts from our generous friends and neighbors. Donations can be made on-line, by mail or in person; each gift makes a difference.
Memorials & Bequests: making a donation to the library in remembrance of a loved one is a great way to make a long-lasting gift.
Donate Time
We are always willing to accept help from those looking to volunteer to support our library and our current full-time professional librarian and paid staff. Here are ways you can help:
- Volunteer at the library
- Serve on a committee
- Help organize an event or fundraising activity
- Support the library at town meeting
Donate Books
Donating books is a great way to support the library. Donated books are reviewed and either added to the collection or sold at the Book Sale with all proceeds going directly to the library. We accept almost any item on any subject as long as it is in decent condition. Click here for more information regarding book donations.
Other Ways to Donate
Clynk: One of the easiest ways to contribute to the library is to utilize the green plastic bags available at the library to collect your recyclable cans and bottles. When it is filled just bring it down to the local Hannaford’s. The library will receive the money from the deposit to benefit the library’s material and services. Ask for the recycle bags the next time you come into the library.
